What the team remembers

One memory. The Collective.

Four agents, one collective memory. A decision made on Monday is still binding on Thursday, and nobody has to be told anything twice.

One for all

What one learns, the other three already know.

If each agent only remembered its own work, every handoff would start with an explanation and every new agent would start from nothing. One collective memory is what keeps the work moving without repeating itself.

What's in it

Four kinds of memory, stacked by how permanent each is.

Decisions Settled calls. Append only, so nothing gets quietly rewritten later, and each one carries the name of whoever approved it. When a decision changes, the new one is added and the old one stays visible underneath. You can see what was decided, when, and by whom. never edited · named approver
Runbooks How something is done here. Your deploy steps, your release checks, the way your branches work. Written once and followed by everyone. edited when the thing changes
Notes What was found and what it means. QA findings, gotchas, why an approach was tried and dropped. The things that would otherwise sit in one person's head. updated in place
Handoffs What one agent passed to another and what state it was in. This is the paper trail when you want to know why something happened, and it gets written whether or not anyone reads it. written on every pass
The guarantees

Two rules that ensure trust.

Decisions are append only. Nothing that was decided can be silently changed. A reversal is a new decision sitting on top of the old one, and both stay readable.

Every decision names its approver. When you look back at why something is the way it is, you can see who signed it off.

Monday to Thursday

Same decision, four different agents.

Monday You tell the Lead that pull requests go to dev, never to main. It goes in as a decision, approved by you. decision logged
Tuesday The Developer, working on something unrelated, reads it before pushing and targets dev. read before push
Wednesday QA turns down a change that targeted main, points at the decision, and sends it back to be redone. enforced, not asked
Thursday A different agent picks up different work, reads the same decision, and does the same thing. same call, no ask

Nobody asked you, and nobody asked each other.
